# Atto — The cloud for your small stuff

> Atto is a managed cloud for small software: publish a purpose-built app to a private URL, share it like a document, and pay a price that cannot surprise you.

## What Atto is

Atto is a publishing platform for software with a small, known audience — the
internal tools, trackers, planners, dashboards and jumped-up spreadsheets that a
team builds for itself. You connect a repository, press publish, and Atto gives the
app a private HTTPS URL and keeps it running.

What you manage is apps, people, access, releases, domains, cost and recovery. What
you do not manage is servers, containers, pipelines or a cloud account.

## What it does

### Instantly shareable

Onboard your team in seconds. An app on Atto has a URL you can send to a person, the way you would send a document. They open it, sign in with an account they already have, and use it. Nobody needs a platform account or infrastructure permissions to be a user.

### All your custom tools

Build it, add it, use it. A workspace is where your team's apps live — the tracker, the rota, the approval flow, the three spreadsheets that became applications. One list, one set of people, one bill. A new tool joins it instead of turning into another cloud account nobody remembers owning.

### Private

Apps live behind your Google org. Nobody has to write a login screen. Atto checks access at its own edge before a request reaches the app, so a URL on its own opens nothing and your team signs in with the work account they already use. Every app starts private to you, you widen the audience deliberately — named people, a work group, anyone with the link — and removing someone once removes them everywhere.

### Agent-ready

Plugged into your favourite tools. Most small software is now written with a coding agent. Atto is built for what happens next: the app comes from a repository, so whatever wrote it — you, your agent, or both — can hand it over without a separate deployment ritual.

### No surprises

Only use what you pay for. Cost is bounded the way the software is. A plan has an explicit capacity limit, Atto refuses work that does not fit inside it, and moving up a tier needs your consent. There is no automatic scale-up, so there is no bill you did not agree to.

## Who it is for

- **A person sharing something they built** with friends or family — a trip planner,
  a shared inventory, a household dashboard — who wants to send a link, not run a server.
- **An engineer replacing a SaaS subscription** with a tool shaped around how their
  company actually works, published behind the identity provider staff already use.
- **A manager who described a tool to an agent** and now needs it to exist somewhere
  colleagues can open, without learning what a deployment pipeline is.

## What it costs

A plan buys a fixed amount of capacity with a hard boundary. Atto declines work that
would exceed the plan instead of quietly billing you for it, and any move to a larger
plan is something you agree to first. Pricing for general availability is not yet
published.

## Status

Atto is in early access and is invite-only. People are let in a handful at a
time; you can join the list at https://atto.to/.

There is no public API and no CLI yet, so any documentation claiming otherwise is not
describing Atto.
